The firm was founded in 2016 and has clients across the Essex and the East Anglia region. Sweeny Wealth Management Ltd is a member of SIFA (Solicitors Independent Financial Advice) and is listed in the SIFA Directory of Professional Financial Advisers, which is endorsed by the Law Society.
The Scope of Our Expertise
The firm’s Managing Director, Paul Sweeny, is a Chartered Financial Planner, the highest qualification in the financial advice industry. He is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and is one of the few financial planners nationally to have achieved a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning and Business Management. Paul has been accredited as a Top-Rated Adviser for 2019 by ‘Vouchedfor’, the independent review website for professional advisers.
Paul also holds specialist qualifications including Long Term Care planning, Equity Release and the CII qualification for arranging pension transfers. He is an affiliate member of both Resolution and STEP.
Both our Directors hold the Level 4 (Diploma) qualification in financial planning.
However, we specialise in providing financial planning which extends beyond financial advice and encompasses investment management and tax planning, taking a holistic view of clients’ needs and aspirations and assisting them to achieve their life objectives.

Reviews and Updating
All clients will receive regular bulletins, which can also be found on the firm’s web site, and investment clients will receive by agreement regular portfolio valuations and commentaries.
Sweeny Wealth Management Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The firm has not received any complaints or been subject to any disciplinary action since its formation in November 2016.
Online Portal for Clients
All clients have access to our on-line ‘Personal Finance Portal (PFP)’, through which they can access details of all their investments, pensions and savings, the values of some of which are up-dated daily. Routine documentation is posted on the system to avoid burdening clients with hard copy mailings.

The Advice Process
Sweeny Wealth Management’s clients tend to be trustees, small business owners, highly paid professionals and those considering their plans on changing career or stopping work. Typically, clients have investable assets of at least £100,000. Initial meetings are complimentary and the fee for proceeding to create a bespoke report and proposal (‘Your Financial Plan’) will not exceed £500.
